Fork You Goes to Billy’s
My experiences have been a bit disappointing, but I’ll have to give it another try because those ribs look tasty. The mac and cheese is horrendous. I disagree that it contains cheddar - that’s pure Velveeta, baby!

I cannot confirm or deny the presence or absence of Velveeta in the Mac & Cheese.

WHAT? Their Mac n Cheese is so ghetto it’s beyond question. You don’t understand southern cooking, do you?

Correction, their mac n cheese was so ghetto. Billy’s has ceased to exist.

Ha. I knew something had to be up when my sister called raving about the mac ‘n cheese. This is a woman who as a young girl balked when my grandmother made her favorite — macaroni n cheese. She faked it (and it was delicious), but told me later that she preferred the stuff in the box. I’m always sorry to hear when a local business closes, but if I’m going to head out to Southridge (and I rarely do anymore) I’m going to keep driving to Alum Creek for the kick-ass bread pudding at Ryan’s Restaurant (not to be confused with the buffet of the same or at least similar name). It’s a dive, but it’s worth the drive (rhyme not intended).

spinstergirl, You got that one right! Big Jim Ryan’s got a great little dive down there in the holler. I’d like to have a quarter for every time I walked outta there well fed and satisfied.
