I knew something had to be up when my sister called raving about the mac 'n cheese. This is a woman who as a young girl balked when my grandmother made her favorite -- macaroni n cheese. She faked it (and it was delicious), but told me later that she preferred the stuff in the box. I'm always sorry to hear when a local business closes, but if I'm going to head out to Southridge (and I rarely do anymore) I'm going to keep driving to Alum Creek for the kick-ass bread pudding at Ryan's Restaurant (not to be confused with the buffet of the same or at least similar name).
